The Calendar-Wallpaper Project: Calendar-free wallpapers!

What's the concept?

During the year 2011, I posted one drawing a month (alongside other arts, it wasn't my only project) all inspired by a fan fiction (to cut a long story short, it was one month, one drawing, one calendar wallpaper). It was a way to pay tribute to all the authors and stories I enjoyed in the past few years in the Supernatural fandom.

What's different from your preceding posts?

In this post, all the wallpapers are available in their original size (or a bit smaller) but without the calendar at the bottom. It means you can now use them whenever you want! (From the feedbacks I received, something tells me that some of you are going to spend their whole year 2012 with the wallpaper devoted to The Doors of Time )

As for a fave. Oh, man, that is tough. They are all lovely. Just stunning. If I have to choose one that just stops me and leaves me breathless every time it rotated on my wallpaper program it's got to the be Jensen you drew for The Doors of Time. Admitedly, I'm biased by that story -- which is sheer perfection. But you did it such justice. That's *him*. Not just a young version of Jensen but the character I'd pictured when reading the story. That otherworldly look, the glow. It's probably the lighting I'm reacting to the most. Plus the expression. And the cat's tale. All so magically detailed. *sigh*

You are right, the lighting is very particular in this art. I don't use this kind of lighting a lot in my art because it's pretty difficult to get the shadows and highlights right. It comes from the bottom. If I can avoid it, I do ^^;;

You were not the only one to request this post! I didn't really think about it but from all the PMs I received apparently, some people were waiting for it in order to use their favorite wallpaper whenever they want :)

I fixed the code ^^;; LJ is driving me nuts! IDK why, three names were missing and felisblanco was listed twice. LJ's RTE will never cease to amaze me...Thanks for letting me know :)
