I understand what you mean about loosing you ability to draw if you don't practice. Unfortunately, it's not like bicycle about which people say you never forget. It's a question of time and patience. I don't sleep at night so I have time to practice but I don't know how people who have a normal cycle of sleep + a job can even find time to doodle :S
