The Calendar-Wallpaper Project: Calendar-free wallpapers!

What's the concept?

During the year 2011, I posted one drawing a month (alongside other arts, it wasn't my only project) all inspired by a fan fiction (to cut a long story short, it was one month, one drawing, one calendar wallpaper). It was a way to pay tribute to all the authors and stories I enjoyed in the past few years in the Supernatural fandom.

What's different from your preceding posts?

In this post, all the wallpapers are available in their original size (or a bit smaller) but without the calendar at the bottom. It means you can now use them whenever you want! (From the feedbacks I received, something tells me that some of you are going to spend their whole year 2012 with the wallpaper devoted to The Doors of Time )

One more vote for A Bleak Understanding in Reverse! Amazing! I thought that people wouldn't enjoy this one very much because it deals with the story of Sam's death but apparently, commenters loved it! ^^

Not only are each and every one of your artwork pieces, stunning!

At the moment, my current favourite artwork is Next Man Up but I haven't yet read the story that inspired it. I like how you captured both boy's profile and even if I didn't know the SPN fandom, your artwork shows me that they are good friends.

So now *bounces* off to read the stories (thank you so much for the links) and later I'll come back and try to work out how to d/load the artwork to my desktop, so I can have your gorgeous artwork adorning my desktop.

To set a pic as a wallpaper image, it's pretty easy:
- Double click on the icon of the image to see the image full size
- Right click on the image. A dialog box appears. There, you should find a line that says "set as desktop background" or something like that ^^ Click on it...
- And...that's it!

These are amazing! No way I can pick a favorite, but since I found this through eviltwin and my love of her Smoke & Lightning 'verse, I guess I would be a bit partial to that one. The best part of this is finding out about some wonderful fic I hadn't seen previously.

Utterly gorgeous!!! Each and every picture blew me away. Your detail work is amazing - the hair, the musculature, facial features. Then the feel of each piece - unique to that story and picture, and just beautiful. I know I've read at least half of these stories, but I'm bookmarking this so I read them all, and appreciate them with their lovely art.

I can't pick a favorite - they're each so gorgeous with their own features!

I think you noticed I was detail freak ^^;; I can't help it! I always have to add more and MORE details, it's a curse :D
Finding time to read fan fictions is hard! It got better since I bought a Kindle but it's still difficult to get through a 100,000 word story sometimes :/

My favorite is The Doors of Time, followed closely by Do I Look Bulletproof To You, That He Will, and Next Man Up. They're absolutely stunning. Thanks, once again, for making us these incredible calendars throughout 2011! <3

Oh, and I just wanted to add that I've shown your artwork to my husband as well. He's completely blown away by how talented you are. He finds it astonishing how you do light on skin, as do I. He always goes, "She drew that?!" ;)

Gorgeous, stunning, breathtaking!! You have such an beautiful gift. Oh to choose a favourite, that is hard... I love January's it is perfect and Doors of Time is such a treasure, love April it is such a fun, sweet picture and I loved the story, but June is really touching and I havent read the fic so I think this one speaks to me most and is my favourite artwork. Thank you so much for the links, I am always seeking great stories and sometimes think Ive read them all then like magic a whole new world opens up. If I had one picture to choose from, I go with November. It reminds me of J2 because Jared is always the touchy, give-a-hug type of guy and in the context of the Winchesters, Sam is again the give-a-hug type. He probably want to 'smish' Dean more than he's allowed to... :)

While they were all incredible, the one that spent the most time on my desktop was from September, "Last Day On Earth". I'm still enamored with it. No, no, you are not the only one! This wallpaper is n°2 (or maybe n°3) in people's favorite list. It's an art for a death!fic but apparently commenters loved it even if everybody found it very sad and heartbreaking. This fandom loves to suffer, apparently ^^;; I'm sure you didn't regret the reading of "A bleak Understanding in Reverse" because it's an amazing story!

This whole project was amazing. I congratulate you on a superb job on each story you illustrated. I really don't know which of these is my favorite, so I refuse to choose. I adore your depiction of Jensen in The Doors of Time and in Do I Seem Bulletproof to You, I fell in love with your Jared in Small Small World and Next Man Up, your bleak representation of the boys in Last Day on Earth is mesmerizing--truly heartbreakingly mesmerizing, and the sheer hotness that is Jared in Smoke & Lightning is unbelievable.

I'm so happy you loved "Small Small World" because drawing the Del Montes (the little green peas) fills me with joy every time :) I could almost hear them babbling and talking around Jared's head and making comment about his haircut when I was drawing this. (I have a sick brain ^^;;) If I could, I would do a complete "art stamp" about the Del Montes and J2 at home to show their everyday life xD
