Date: 2014-07-02 07:24 am (UTC)That's funny because it's everybody's favorite but it's the one I spent the less time on. In the story, Jared drew this picture as sketch so I did the same: quickly, with big brush strokes ^^;;
I'm very happy you enjoyed my BB post so much!
Thanks a lot! ♥

Outrageously, heartbreakingly lovely work, lady! Beau, beau!

Date: 2014-07-02 07:31 am (UTC)Absolutely! ^^ "La fée verte" (the green fairy) is the Absinthe's other name (I even think it was a brand back in the 1800's).
I don't have the habit to work in this kind of color palette so it was a lot of fun! Green, green, green ♥
Your linework and coloring continues to remind me of the great Richard Amsel
Awww! This is such an amazing compliment! I love his work even if I'm much more familiar with Drew Struzan.
I guess I love over saturated coloring ^^

Date: 2014-07-02 07:34 am (UTC)Yes, she's pretty sarcastic all along the story so I couldn't draw her with a "nice smile", she had to look mischievous.
No, but I think my favorite is the smoker Jensen
That's funny because it's everybody's favorite but it's the one I spent the less time on. In the story, Jared drew this picture as sketch so I did the same: quickly, with big brush strokes ^^;; And don't worry, I understood what you meant by "smudgy background", ha! ha! you are absolutely right! ♥

You create such sumptuous atmospheres and textures
It's thanks to a software I have called Painter 12. You can almost recreate an oil painting digitally. In fact you can recreate everything: watercolor, acrylic, pencil. I was so lucky to have it for this BB because it was just perfect for a story that talks about a painter! I had a lot of fun working on this, particularly "The Bed" because I had to copy a picture of Lautrec xD

Yes, sepia colors were very present at the time so I used a red-sepia palette for most of my paintings except the ones where absinthe was involved. Believe me, it's easier to work in sepia that in green-yellow ><
Your icon is so cute ♥

Date: 2014-07-01 04:49 pm (UTC)I love all your pieces, of course, but I love how much happiness and whimsy they have in the headers and the Poster Art especially. I'm in love with the way you draw teeth, for cryin' out loud. TEETH I SAY! Those seem such an easy and minor detail, but a lot of the time they turn out terrifying in hands less skilled than yours! And damn, but that smoking picture of Jensen is sinfully hot and yet so beautifully simple. Plus all the beautiful roses everywhere! And YAY you even have an animated gif banner! They are always fun and challenging to, and you have done it wonderfully here. I could seriously go on for ever with everything I love in this post.
I am in absolute awe of your artistic mastery. The things you do with Photoshop and Painter-- seriously with Painter, I can barely get the pencils to work, so the fact you can do ALL OF THIS astonishes me!-- not to mention traditional. ALL SO BREATHTAKING! You are a fandom treasure. ♥♥♥

Date: 2014-07-02 08:02 am (UTC)Yes! I can't believe I managed to grab a J2 fics that takes place in Paris! When I read the BB summary I was like "THIS ONE!! THIS ONE!" and I was very happy when Wendy told me the fic was mine! In addition just a couple of days before I went to an exhibition called "Paris 1900" so it was perfect!
I love how much happiness and whimsy they have in the headers and the Poster Art especially.
All this happiness... It's at the point cherie-morte worried about me on Twitter. Seriously, it was maybe too much for me: nobody died, no scars, no blood! NOTHING!! Just J2 in love!! I need to draw a death!art like yesterday.
I'm in love with the way you draw teeth,
OMG! THANK YOU!! Teeth are a nightmare, aren't they? You are an artist, you know how difficult they are to draw. They can ruin a face and make the character look super creepy. It's one of the things I don't like drawing and I'm always happy when I manage to draw a beautiful smile!

Date: 2014-07-01 04:59 pm (UTC)All teasing aside, I love to see those big, bright happy smiles on the boys in your art!! So much splendor and extravagance and just explosive joy. God, I could look at these banners or them all drunk in green light smiling like that forever.
AND THE LAST PIECE. WITH GENEVIEVE. AS A CANCAN GIRL. I WANT TO GET HER TATTOOED ON MY FACE, OKAY?

I haven't draw happy!J2 stuff for ages. I killed them in my RBB, I draw blood every week for my "Journal of a Man of Letters" project (a Sam's Journal I started on Tumblr) so drawing the boys happy, with bright colors was...unusual. But I managed to draw Jensen with a black eye in the "Green Door" art xD
Glad you loved "The Atelier" too! I spent SO MUCH time on that one -___-

GENEVIEVE IS A BIT TOO BIG FOR YOUR FACE BUT I'M SUR A WHOLE BACK PIECE WOULD BE AWESOME.

Date: 2014-07-02 07:37 pm (UTC)They droOOoOove me nuuUuUuUts. I drew 6 or 7 of them then I copy and pasted them all over the place but it was just the line art. I couldn't cheat for the coloring, just the ink work. :/
and the paint-y effects! for the smoker especially, i mean i really love how it looks half-finished.
That's funny because it's everybody's favorite but it's the one I spent the less time on. In the story, Jared drew this picture as sketch so I did the same: quickly, with big brush strokes ^^;;
the boys are SO FUCKING CUTE.

also, jensen wearing the blanket and jared wearing a waistcoat.
I wanted to show that they were at home, how happy they were in their everyday life...and that as Jensen was naked under the blanket, they certainly had fun the night before! ^^
you were a total pleasure to work with. and not just because you fixed my french. :D
It was nothing! It's the least I could do and it was easy for me. I mean, if you have one of the only French artists of the BB and that she can't help you with a couple of sentences in French, what's the point! ^^
i'm looking forward to your art for the avengers reversebang, too. :D
Thank you so much! I'm super lucky because Ratherastory grabbed my art. I thought I was gonna work with someone from the Avengers fandom, someone I've never heard of but no, it stays in the family xD I don't know when we post but in the meantime, I posted this stucky one: http://petite-madame.tumblr.com/post/90488096901/thank-you-so-much-steve-dont-mention-it

Date: 2014-07-01 06:23 pm (UTC)I always get blown away by your art. It is beyond amazing. I can't understand how it is possible for a person to make art like this - and so much!!! I have made a few pictures for my bigbang that I post in 10 days, and it's not nearly as wonderfu or difficult as this, and I have by no means felt I have had oceans of time to make it. I simply don't understand what you are made of! Art is your super-power... yup. That's it!
Lucky, lucky author!

Now I need to go back and find the del Monte because I missed him first time round.
There are only in one pic, "The Atelier", well hidden but they are here. There's also a bad pun written on the wall but I couldn't help it xD

And no matter what you do, you will never escape them. Look at the art called "The Atelier". You have 2 Del Montes hidden in there ;)
