See you soon for the [livejournal.com profile] avengers_rbb (a Steve/Bucky fic in collaboration with [livejournal.com profile] ratherastory) and later this year for the [livejournal.com profile] deancasbigbang.

This is fabulous! You have a real Mucha look here, not just in the framing but in the cute (cuter?) versions of Jared and Jensen - it really captures how he simplifies adult looks into something sweeter.

[identity profile] petite-madame.livejournal.com 2014-07-02 08:34 am (UTC)(link)
You are absolutely right, I simplified the lines of Jared and Jensen to make them smoother because I wanted to obtain something a bit Musha. It's more complicated than it looks -_____-
I'm very happy you enjoyed the art post! ♥
Thank you so much :)

OMG THIS IS GLORIOUS*______*

I always look forward to your art because you capture your characters so beautifully but you have outdone yourself this time! I can't choose a favourite because it's all so beautiful but the Lautrec-inspired bedroom scene is perfect. In fact, you've captured the feel and look of the era perfectly, it's like you and this fic were made for each other. Excuse me while I go back and stare at all the lovely art:)

[identity profile] petite-madame.livejournal.com 2014-07-02 08:37 am (UTC)(link)
the Lautrec-inspired bedroom scene is perfect.
The painting is very important in the story and my author didn't want me to fail this one xD

it's like you and this fic were made for each other.
Yes! I can't believe I managed to grab a J2 fics that takes place in Paris! When I read the BB summary I was like "THIS ONE!! THIS ONE!" and I was very happy when Wendy told me the fic was mine! In addition just a couple of days before I went to an exhibition called "Paris 1900" so it was perfect!

I'm very happy you enjoyed the art post! ♥
Thank you so much :)

These are fabulously beautiful. I am always in awe of your talent and skill. Your art is continuously stunning. That animated dove is wonderful. All the pieces are spectacular. Truly spot on boys, everytime. Kudos to you darling, KUDOS.

I struggled with the animation of the dove. It was never the right speed, it was always too fast or too slow xD Poor bird, it looked like it took some super potion of something! >

Unf, such glorious artwork, from the lettering (marvelous!) to the detailed roses (such a beautiful old pink/orange colour). Great moving community banner. \o/ My favorite scene is the one of them all snuggly under the covers, yay for being inspired by Lautrec for that image;) I love how you made the sheets look like an old school painting <3

Wow, how are you even possible! Not only is the work STUNNING (as always!) but there is SO MUCH OF IT! I just can't! How long does it actually take you do to one of these? I know that would depend on the complexity - but, on average?

Love them all! The colours and style are just gorgeous.

Thanks for sharing your talent with us! <333

[identity profile] petite-madame.livejournal.com 2014-07-02 08:55 am (UTC)(link)
How long does it actually take you do to one of these?
One month for the whole batch otherwise, it's very variable. The banners are done very fast, maybe in 4 hours or something? (and I spend time checking Tumblr, it doesn't help). For the big ones like "The Atelier" or "La Fée Verte", OTOH, it's about 20 hours per pics but I work on several pictures at the same time. The easiest one was "The Smoker", this one took maybe 6 hours, it was easy. :)

there is SO MUCH OF IT!
It's the BIG BANG! I always draw a lot for the BIG BANG! THIS IS SO IMPORTANT, I CAN'T HELP IT!! ^o^

I'm very happy you enjoyed the art post! ♥

Guh. As ever this is gorgeous. The lighting! The colors! The atmosphere! The detail work in these is just stunning. I need to allow myself a good amount of time just to take in the details. I saved to my hard drive and will toggle as desktops so I can do so.

[identity profile] petite-madame.livejournal.com 2014-07-02 08:59 am (UTC)(link)
The lighting! The colors! The atmosphere!
I tried to stay close to the atmosphere of Paris in the 1900's so I worked in red-sepia most of the time. It was very relaxing and for once there wasn't a lot of night scenes to draw :3

I need to allow myself a good amount of time just to take in the details.
Talking about details, tell your daughter there are two Del Montes in the art called "The Atelier". I always have to hide these little bugger somewhere, I can't help it! Ha! Ha!

I am quite speechless and feel too inarticulate to respond like I should! This is absolutely amazing and is it okay if I use one of these pictures for my laptop background? My cell phone?! SO far this is my favorite art in the Big Bang! And there is some fantastic stuff out there. :)

Oh, you've outdone yourself again with this beautiful set of paintings. I'm so moved by them and love that you got the chance to illustrate and pay homage to some of art's most wonderful painters. What a visual treat. I'm struck by the amazing amount of work you did in such a fairly short time, I mean- you are prolific! And yet- nothing is lacking or a shortcut taken- or none I could see. I'm quite humbled and love everything you've done. Kudos, Artsydenise

I can draw all this because illustration is my job so I'm used to draw (I mean ALL THE TIME), work fast and also, I have the tools. I don't think that a lot of people here have Photoshop CS6 and Painter 12. All this combined, makes that I can draw all these artworks, in such a short amount of time ^^

as always your art is so so sooo beautiful! this is the only entry that lead me first to the art section before checking out the fic master post <3

just ignore this if it's too much to ask, but i would rly love an epub file with the art! i normally just wait for the AO3 link before downloading but i feel it wont do it any justice if i download the eoub without your art ;____;

I think there's something like that at my author's master post but I'm not sure. Otherwise, I'm sorry, I can't help you, I'm not an author and I don't know anything about PDF and epub :/

Oh, these are gorgeous! I've been looking forward to this ever since you claimed the story, and it's everything I hoped for and more. I absolutely LOVE "The Smoker." The style on that is just glorious. I keep going back to look at it over and over.

[identity profile] petite-madame.livejournal.com 2014-07-02 09:14 am (UTC)(link)
I absolutely LOVE "The Smoker."
That's funny because it's everybody's favorite but it's the one I spent the less time on. In the story, Jared drew this picture as sketch so I did the same: quickly, with big brush strokes ^^;;

I'm very happy you enjoyed my BB post so much!
Thanks a lot! ♥

amazing lights and colors
I worked mainly in sepia. Sepia colors were very present at the time so I used a red-sepia palette for most of my paintings except the ones where absinthe was involved. Believe me, it's easier to work in sepia that in green-yellow ><

I just experienced BREATHTAKING just freakin' now!!!! OMG!!! They're absolutely stunning and amazing! I love those rose artwork! Did you draw them all? I've done several but they're hard one to draw by hand, hehehe. Anyway, fantastic job!!

[identity profile] petite-madame.livejournal.com 2014-07-02 09:20 am (UTC)(link)
I love those rose artwork! Did you draw them all?
Yes, -_________- It took ages. However, I drew 6 or 7 and copy and pasted them to form these big bouquets. But it was just the line work, for the coloring, you can't cheat but I'm used to drawing flowers so that was ok ^^

Every single piece, right down to the dividers, is absolutely magnificent. I want to frame them all and have them adorning my walls, but if I did, I'd never leave my apartment. Your artwork is always stunning but you can feel the love you've put into these just oozing from them. I can't even pick a favourite because they are all utterly breathtaking, although Jared and the dove is so captivating I can't take my eyes off it. GORGEOUS!!!

This question asked with your Mike icon above is glorious. It makes you look even more surprised xD I'm sorry but I can't help laughing (in addition, I have a very unhealthy "Mike obsession". I have tons of Monsters Inc stuff at home ^^;;)

Oh, PM! REALLY. How you put the rest of us to glorious shame!

These are amazingly gorgeous. The atelier painting? Wow wow wow.

Absinthe green is one of my fave colors; it's brash and decadent...and so perfect for that pic of the boys, lounging.

Just gorgeous, start to finish. You can just feel how much you loved the project!

[identity profile] petite-madame.livejournal.com 2014-07-02 09:35 am (UTC)(link)
The atelier painting? Wow wow wow.
I struggled with that one you know. And I was whining in front of the computer "gna gna gna it's too complicated, gna gna gna there are too many details, why the hell I'm drawing all this? gna gna gna I'm gonna stop now..." but then I finally finished it. However, I hid two Del Montes in the picture. If you don't use your skills to draw silly stuff, what's the point! ^^

Absinthe green is one of my fave colors
Do you know that I was thinking about you when I draw this one? I know how much you love green and IDK why but I was thinking of this art of Sam and Dean on a boat where one of the brothers is rescuing the other one. I really loved this palette even if the one I used here is more green-sepia than yellow-green. I love this artwork of yours (but now I have Sam with pink panties so I guess that the boat one comes second)

I'm very happy you enjoyed my BB post so much Quick! ^o^

Oh my gosh, how BEAUTIFUL. So, so stunning!! Jensen is beauuuuuuttttiful. Especially with his beard.

Merci encore ♥

These are so gorgeous <3 Love the styling a lot, it's fantastic you were able to nab this prompt. I adore the frames and flowers and glowing lighting on everything. It's really great how you gave the paintings that Jared has done, more texture and an oil on canvas look. I love the details and colours in the Green Door piece and how you did a piece inspired by one by Toulouse Lautrec :D
Each piece is beautiful and inspiring! <3

[identity profile] petite-madame.livejournal.com 2014-07-02 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
it's fantastic you were able to nab this prompt.
I couldn't believe I managed to grab it! ^^ It was my first choice and I couldn't wait to work on it, what I did at the minute Wendy told me the fic was mine xD It was the occasion to use all my art books about Paris at the turn of the century \o/ In addition, my BF wasn't here at the time so I turned my living room into an artist studio with sketches and books all over the place. :)

It's really great how you gave the paintings that Jared has done, more texture and an oil on canvas look.
It's thanks to Painter 12. The software worked for me! Its oil painting tool makes wonder and I didn't have to do anything ^^

you did a piece inspired by one by Toulouse Lautrec :D
